Have you ever had something go wrong? If so, you’re not alone. Even the greatest business leaders have failures all the time. But how do they not flounder when the going gets tough? The answer: they know that out of your greatest mistakes can come your crowning glories. We’re also not immune. As a new blog and business in the burgeoning field of women’s careers, we’re learning on the job. And with that learning comes mistakes. Too many to count. Often we try things out and they fail. Other times we make a decision and, down the line, realise it’s not quite right. So how do we keep going even when things are tough?
In this latest episode of our vlog series, we share the pain of our first weekend of book writing. And why, actually, it was one of the best things that happened in our whole writing journey. In true Step Up style, we’ll also share our secrets to making your latest failure – no matter how great or minor – the best thing that has happened to your business or career.
Have these tips helped you to turn a bad experience into something brilliant? What other topics would you like to see in our vlogs? We’d love to know in the comments below. Our promise: we’ll answer each and every comment you make.

I have recently changed jobs, after more than 20 years as a literary agent, I made a decision a year ago to move into producing/tv development. I have been struggling with a loss of esteem from peers and also realising that FAILFAST is probably the best approach to developing. Move on and don’t get stuck. I am determined to make a success of this new venture but have become very aware that changing career midlife requires real grit and determination and masses of confidence. Onward and thanks for your vlog!
